5 Must Have Shoes for Fall!
While those on the East Coast have had extraordinary weather extremes in just a few weeks, here in La La Land, my fellow Southern Californians and I have anxiously been awaiting a sign of ANY kind that Fall was approaching. Sure, there were pumpkin patches and recipes for Fall's signature veggie (squash) popping up everywhere... But in reality, our weather (remaining in the 80's) stayed purely summer, and wardrobe-wise: Purely opened toe.
Then it dropped to 65. And my life changed.
Suddenly, every image from style bloggers and magazines (including those that make me feel pathetic on Pinterest) became a real-life possibility. Mostly, I'm talking about boots. In LA, we know a season is changing when it's "cold" enough to wear boots to our knees... with a short dress...
On that note, here are 5 Fall Shoe Must Haves that I currently own and feel "complete" some of the looks I'm coveting.
As we all know by now, Animal Print is a must this season. I saw these a few months ago and fell instantly in love. They look great paired with anything from cargos, to ripped skinnies, to even a black pencil skirt and tucket in white blouse for a meeting. From their website, it looks like they may have sold out in this pattern, but keep an eye out for these or ones that look like these. They're just the right amount of "grrr, baby" that you need to spice up your look and the price is pretty good.
Last Fall after my favorite pair of Frye boots gave me what felt like a farewell, I wiped away my tears and purchased these boots from Vince Camuto. What I love about them is that they're simple, the perfect color brown, and are not too loose around my calf or ankle. They go with everything from a skinny jean to leggings to the perfect shoe for a striped sweater dress like this one from The Gap.
Every girl needs to own two things: The perfect LBD, and the perfect LBS. This is the perfect little black shoe. And when I say, little, I MEAN little. It comes in the cutest box with the cutest bag. These fold right up and are great for city girls on the go, OR moms like me who want to look stylish but have the support in the sole to run around. I love the patent snake look and have already gotten a ton of compliments on these shoes when I paired them with my Current Elliot boyfriend jeans. Ladies, invest in these. You will love!
Looking for a cute, casual, comfortable and totally hip moto bootie for the Fall? Meet this shoe. Recommended by style icon Olivia Palermo, I fell head over heels for these affordable shoes a couple months ago. Finally, they've made their debut and I find myself wanting to wear these with EVERYTHING. Sooooo cute with skinny boyfriend jeans also perfect for air travel as they slip off and on and are great walking shoes. They come in a few colors but I love the simplicity and versatility of the black.
Okay... Full disclosure: I do not actually own these boots... YET. But, oh, it is SO just a matter of time until they enter my life. I hope. I think. After the recent and tragic death of my beloved Steve Madden black boots, I've been searching long and hard for something to take their place. I think these may be it. Although, the price is not entirely right... right now. What do you think? Yay or nay?
