6 Ways to Rock a Nursing Tank!
So this was a question posed to me by one of my best friends who is, well... nursing...
"Can nursing tanks be sexy?"
I don't know if sexy is the word I would use to describe nursing tanks, but... and this is a BIG but... I do think nursing tanks can be fashionable. Very fashionable.
It's just knowing what to wear with the nursing tank. One of the biggest problems I see with women is that they layer bulky tops on top of a nursing tank. I understand layering things on top of the tank so you have easier access when it's time to actually nurse... but you don't need to make it seem like you're getting ready for an Arctic vacation!
I want to share with you some different ways to look fashionable (and hey, even sexy) while rocking a nursing tank!
So let's pop up a basic nursing tank...
What can you wear to make this fashionably fabulous?
There are 3 things I know we have to keep in mind:
1) Easy access
This is how I would style it...
Date Night: The sequin cardigan is the perfect layer for a nursing tank. It's easy on/easy off. I love the trouser pants with the sequin cardi because it really brings together fashion and comfort. And play it FABULOUS with some heels!
Work Event: OK... now this is HOT! I love this outfit because you have a deliciously gorgeous silk blouse that can easily slip down over your shoulder. Regardless if you need to pump or feed on the spot, this is an easy way to make it work. And I just love the high boots with a pencil skirt!
Hanging at home: Just because you're home, doesn't mean you can't be in something fashionable! Pop on a cozy cable knit chunky sweater. I love these because they literally go with anything. I even pair it with yoga pants and sneakers to compliment the casual look.
Apple Picking: Every woman has jeans and this is a great way to wear them on the weekends! I love this look because it's chic and practical. I found this beautiful white shawl cardigan and ultra-cool dark denim and paired them with brown riding boots. The perfect outfit for a day of apple picking!
Night out with the Girls: I wanted to find something simple yet fun. I know not everyone loves tons of jewelry, so I played it safe with accessories by just adding one necklace. I love a structured blazer, especially one that fits like a glove. And when you're out with the girls you can be a little bold and add some playful color - which is what I did with this blazer. Pair this up with skinny jeans and some gorgeous booties. Oh, yes, you will have some good times in this little number!
Work attire: My best piece of fashion advice for the office is to always go with wrap cardigans and sweaters. These are the easiest to pull off and put back on, not to mention, you can adjust them to your comfort level. I added a pleated skirt because it's work, and I wanted to give more of a professional look. And yes, I had a little fun with the shoes! (wink, wink)
So here are 6 examples of how you can EASILY and EFFORTLESSLY rock a Nursing Bra! Which one is your favorite?
