Duchess Kate Wows The Crowds in 3 Gorgeous Looks
This week has been a busy one for Duchess Catherine of Cambridge (commonly called Duchess Kate by the rest of the world). While her husband, Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge is deployed in the Falklands for a 6 week tour of duty, the Duchess has embraced her first solo engagements, including one with the military, in her typical high-fashion style. Check out her 3 very different looks, below.
1. The Duchess visits Olympic Park in London. The Duchess paid a surprise visit to Olympic Park on Thursday to meet the national hockey team and participate in a training session with the team as well. The good-natured Duchess arrived in a pair of cropped coral-colored jeans, with a white top, navy Emilio Pucci double-breasted blazer, and a pair of black heels by one of her go-to designers, LK Bennett. She polished off her look with the official team scarf. How very patriotic!
The debate is raging over who makes the jeans that the duchess was wearing, but my best guess is that they are made by Zara, a brand we already know the duchess knows and loves. Even better, they will only set you back 80 dollars. The only problem is that they now seem to be completely sold out of that fit in all sizes in the coral. However, if you want them in light pink or yellow, they still have those in stock.
My favorite thing about this visit is that Duchess Kate changed into track shoes and a hoodie to join a training session with the team. It is SO unfair that even in a hoodie and sneakers she looks incredible.
2. Duchess Kate Joins Prince Charles at the Dulwich Art Gallery. After the Duchess spent the morning at Olympic Park, she joined her father-in-law Prince Charles (and her mother-in-law Duchess Camilla, though, curiously, there were not many photos with Camilla) at one of his charities - the Dulwich Art Gallery in London to make art with the children. For the occasion, the Duchess donned a 3/4 length sleeved, grey Orla Kiely Dress with a pleated skirt, nipped in waist, and flower detailing around the neck line. She looked every bit the proper princess.
The warmth between Prince Charles and his daughter-in-law was easy to see, and very refreshing for many who feel that the royal family have been rather cold the past 30 years. It's no doubt that the former Kate Middleton has revitalized the royals.
3. Gorgeous in Green for St. Patrick's Day. The Duchess made her first solo military appearance on Saturday by continuing a long-standing tradition of presenting shamrocks to the Irish Guards. She was stunning in a green dress, with a chocolate brown hat, belt, and shoes. The Duchess was beaming throughout the entire ceremony, in which she presented shamrocks to 40 guards and even one canine guard!
I personally am thrilled that the Duchess has brought back the idea of dressing like a lady. What do you think of her 3 looks this week?
