It's Here! Project Runway, Season 7!
It's official: I'm a fan. A huge, ginormous, crazy fan.
You see, back in August I had a huge confession to make. Ack! It pains me even to remind you all that until Season 6, I had never watched Project Runway.
I know, I may as well make the shape of an "L" with my finger and my thumb and stamp "loser" on my forehead. And I call myself a fashionista? Oy-vey.
Fear not, Project Runwayites, because I made up for it! Last season the premiere was on my birthday. I curled up with a glass of wine, comandeered the television, and forced everyone around me to watch Tim Gunn, and the amazing designers that made up Project Runway Season 6. They didn't hate it. Neither did I. I was well on my way to fandom, in my opinion. Then, I had this crazy opportunity to go to the screening of the 5th episode of the season - WITH THE DESIGNERS. Ha ha! How's that for making up for lost time?
Did I mention that I had my picture taken with Irina? And with Althea? Yeah, I did. And I'm telling you about it because I'm a total fan-girl. Yes, I'm one of those. I'm refraining from posting them here. Of course, you could always just head over to this post and see them, you know, if you were curious.
I was hooked. I read blogs and speculation about the show, I watched all of the little extras each week on the Lifetime/Project Runway YouTube channel. I needed my daily Project Runway fix way more than I needed my tall nonfat Chai latte. And that's saying something.
Oh, but this is the best part, because guess what? Season 7 is upon us.
Ladies (and even the gentlemen who refuse to admit that they are reading) it is almost time. Project Runway, Season 7 starts tonight, January 14th at 10pm. See the countdown clock below for proof:
Squeeeee! (That's my excited noise. Seriously.)
I won't be at home this time around, I'm actually in NYC on a quick work trip, so no comandeering the TV and making everyone around watch the Premiere with me. However, this time around, in the city that never sleeps, I know right where I'll be.
In my hotel room, legs curled up under me on the bed, glued to the TV. New York can wait. Work can wait. Everything except Project Runway can and will wait.
I'll be wrapped up in my own little Project Runway world. I'm sure I'll be tweeting about it with all of the other cool PR fans. Feel free to join in the conversation by following the #ProjectRunway hashtag on Twitter and adding it to your tweets about the show.
Let the designing begin!
