Unique Halloween Costumes For Your Kids
It's the fall! Yay! That means it's time for Halloween - which, in turn, means it's time to figure out what costume your little ones will be wearing for parties, school, and trick or treating!
It looks like our kiddos are going to be Spiderman or Simba from The Lion King (could these two be more different?) and Rapunzel, from Tangled. I realize that I will probably be stuck in a world of licensed character costumes with our two kids for some time yet - but I can't help but love unique Halloween costumes. I loved what Audrey Grace wore for her first Halloween - she was a snail. A SNAIL! How cute is this, seriously?
We've been all-Disney since this year - for her second Halloween she was Tigger, her third she was Minnie Mouse, and her fourth she was Tinkerbell. This year she will be Rapunzel, so the years of creative license with her costumes seemed to come and go pretty quickly.
However, if you're in need of a little inspiration this year, then you're in luck! I've compiled a list of fun, unique Halloween costumes for the kids - enjoy!
Pig in a Blanket. Are you kidding me? How perfect is this?
Raining Cats and Dogs. My daughter would love this. Yellow raincoat and boots with some spare "pets" glued to the top of an umbrella. Hilarious.
A Peacock. I'm seriously blinded by the cuteness. I might need to have another baby JUST so that I can do this. Some might say that sounds like I'm looking for a reason, but I assure you, it's only the costume.
The UPS Man. Classic. Unexpcted. Cozy. Understated. Winner.
Hershey's Kiss. I was dying to get this costume for Audrey Grace for her first Halloween, but when I went to order it was sold out all over the internet. I cried. No really, I did. Then I bought the snail costume above and all was well.
Washing Machine. Clever. Simple. DIY, even?
Smurf. Simple and cute - with no messy blue paint required!
