Keep Your Colors Bright This Fall!
Bright colors have been in style for quite a while now and they’re not going anywhere anytime soon. While I love rockin’ deeper jewel tones in the fall, there is one bright hue that I tend to wear all year long and, happily, it’s a major fall trend this year.
Cobalt, my happy color, was all over the fall runways and you should have no problem finding gorgeous cobalt goodies to help jump start your fall wardrobe! Plus, it looks amazing on so many skin tones. That’s why it’s my happy color. I stopped going out in the sun many moons ago and unless I slap on some sunless tanner, my skin is on the milky white side. Even so, cobalt always makes me feel amazing. It’s such a flattering color! Take note…Cobalt is where it’s and it works for any casual or dressy occasion.
When I was pregnant, I had a several cobalt looks that were my go- tos for when I wasn’t feeling the best. They were an instant pick me up. I may not be expecting anymore, but that color still evokes the same feeling for me and I still have go-to cobalt looks for every season on hand. They just happen to be very on trend this year since cobalt is such a major color for fall! Whether I’m heading out on the town with the girls or running errands on the weekend, I can definitely find a brightly colored cobalt piece to fit any agenda.
As with all bright colors, cobalt looks best when it is kept at its brightest. Faded cobalt just isn’t as eye popping as VIBRANT cobalt! Laundry care plays a big role in keeping your gorgeous bright clothes bright. Not only do I want my laundry products to take the best care possible of my clothing, but I’m looking for quick and easy options as well. Us busy mamas don’t have the time to spend all day on laundry. Am I right?
Tide Pods, for instance, are a stain remover, detergent and brightener all in one. It doesn’t get much easier than that folks! I also love how you don’t have to measure anything. I’ve spilled my fair share of detergent over the years. Just sayin’. Plus, it works in both hot and cold water. I tend to wash my bright colors in cold water, but sometimes, and I’m sure you fellow mamas can relate to this, my kiddos get something so icky on me that hot water is most necessary. Haha!
So, remember…take good care of your brights and they’ll be around for you to bring out next fall too! Or if you’re like me, you can find ways to work brights into your wardrobe all year long! If you preserve them, you won’t have to replace them each season, which is a big money saver. Try turning them inside out to keep the color fresh. I’m all about investing in my wardrobe, but I like to get major bang for my buck, so the cost per wear ratio is definitely important to this girl. All those savings could add up to a new pair of shoes splurge. Score!
