Brad Pitt’s Take on What to Tell Kids about Santa: Do You Agree?
While he has six kids (Maddox, 11, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 6, and 4-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne), Brad Pitt has never struck me as the type to start moving his “Elf on a Shelf” every night to the delight of his brood. But when he was recently asked how they handled the topic of Santa in his house, his response was not what I expected – but it WAS kind of refreshing and honest:
"I'm not real big on the whole Santa thing," Pitt explained to E! News. "I thought it was a huge act of betrayal when I was a kid. I didn't like that. When I found out the truth, I was like, 'Why? Why? Why would you lie to me? Why?"
So what DOES he say about St. Nick? "What I tell them is some people believe it's Santa, and some people believe it's parents, and you get to believe whatever you want."
And he and Angelina Jolie do play along to some extent -- Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne were photographed delivering letters to Santa Claus at the Littlebourne Post Office in Kent, England, earlier this month.
I wonder if he takes the same approach with the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy!
Are you honest with your kids about Santa? Or do you play along for the fun of it?
