Rachel Zoe Confirms She's Pregnant With Second Child!
UPDATE -- Rachel Zoe released this statement today (9/3), confirming she is pregnant with her second child:
"Rodger, Skyler and I hope that everyone had an amazing summer. Before we head into the chaos of fashion season, we wanted to take a moment to OFFICIALLY confirm that we are expecting another child."
As Rachel Zoe would say, “We die!”
Us Weekly is reporting that the fashion designer/stylist is pregnant with baby number two! She and husband Rodger Berman (aka “babe”) are already parents to 2-year-old son, Skyler.
Zoe (41) is joining a growing group of celebrity mamas who are having babies after 40. One of the most notable being Halle Berry who recently announced she is carrying her second child at the age of 46.
And although some people frown upon fessing up to wanting a specific sex (yes – everyone wants a healthy baby) let’s call a spade a spade – Zoe is probably dying for a girl. And we are dying FOR her to have a girl. She’s a great mom to Skyler, but some women are cut out to have little baby fashionistas running around and it goes without saying that Rachel Zoe is one of them. Selfishly, we want her to have a girl just so we can see the outfits she shoves her in. Plus, you know she’s going to start her own line of girl’s clothing if it happens.
Big change going from one kid to two – Zoe recently mentioned in an interview how she cherishes the very little free time she has:
“I think once you are a parent it is all about "How much can you do in a certain time period?" From 6 in the morning until nap-time at 1, how many activities can we do? I think during his nap-time now I will honestly sit with my laptop and do some online shopping or sit in my bathrobe or sit outside in the backyard by the pool — but I recently started doing yoga, which is really helping me.”
Who wants to be the one tell her that the free time she currently has will no longer exist once she has her second child? That hour that Skyler naps will now be spent changing diapers and doing feedings! Eh – let her find out on her own…nothing more annoying than getting advice from other parents about how good you currently have it!
Mazel tov to Rachel and Rodger!
