Sandra Bullock is More Worried About Her Son’s Lunch Than Winning an Oscar
No matter how rich you are, how high up on the corporate ladder you are or how essential to the PTA you are, having kids can ground you. Even someone as famous as Sandra Bullock still has to worry about all the normal kid related crap that keeps all the other non-Hollywood types like us up at night!
When asked about how she felt about her recent Best Actress nomination for “Gravity”, the actress revealed:
“I don’t think it ever stops being an absolute thrill, but I do have an immediate leveler... I still have to get up and make lunch for a little person, and pray -- please, dear God -- that he eats something I put in his lunchbox today.”
We knew we loved her! We already knew she wasn’t completely full of herself, but that just totally reinforced it…and made us love her even more.
Bullock adopted Louis Bardo Bullock in January, 2010 -- just two months before winning her first Oscar for Best Actress in "The Blind Side." Soon after, she shared her thoughts about life as a mom with People: "You wake up, you feed, you burp, you play, you do laundry ... I'm still in that stage where I'm just amazed with him and at life."
Sandra’s had her fair share of shit to deal with and it’s nice to see that it hasn’t made her bitter.
When asked if she will share the news of her terrific honor with her adorable son, she responded, “Nope. He doesn’t know what I do for a living. He just knows that Mom needs to get upstairs and get him dressed and that’s exactly the way it should be. It should be about his life, not mine. He doesn’t need the interruption of my vanity.”
Um, have we mentioned how much we love her?
