About Me:
I am a former television publicist turned humor writer, author and purveyor of all things fun. In addition to writing, I love to sing, shop, play tennis, and travel with my family and friends. I live in the same neighborhood where “The Dick Van Dyke Show” was based, with my husband, two kids, two cats, three hermit crabs and a mouse named Milford.
Q: How many children do you have?
A: I have two children: Rebecca, age 12, and Dylan, age nine.
Q: Where do you live and how did you end up there?
A: I live in New Rochelle, New York. While I grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and my husband is from Queens, we wound up in our neighborhood when a friend who grew up here suggested we look at homes in this area. We visited the area over one weekend and instantly fell in love. We’ve lived in the same house now for years.
Q: What’s your astrological sign?
A: I’m a Libra – always indecisive while striving for perfection.
Q: If your life was made into a Lifetime Movie, what would it be called?
A: “The Back Door Plan.”
Q: What is one of your favorite quotes?
A: “Be comfortable feeling uncomfortable.” –Renetta McCann, former CEO of Starcom Media Vest Group
Q: What TV or movie character are you most like?
A: Tess McGill from “Working Girl” – I LOVED that movie!
Q: If you could have dinner with three famous people (dead or alive), who would you invite?
A: Drew Barrymore, Reese Witherspoon and Julia Roberts.
Q: What is your biggest vice?
A: Second-guessing myself (I’m now thinking, “Should I have named three dead people or a former president I’d like to have dinner with?”)
Q: What makes you feel sexy?
A: I feel sexy in a cocktail dress that fits in all the right places (thank you, Spanx).
Q: What’s your most memorable ballsy moment?
A: I was the first person to ever ask my boss if I could work from home ... and he said yes. A few years later, I then devised a PowerPoint presentation to land a big promotion ... and it worked. I’ve learned that in business, the only way to make a difference is to chart your own course.
Q: Fill in this blank: “I celebrate life by _______.”
A: Doing what I love with family and friends.
