Carol Cain

I love to travel and write about food along the way, and my blog, Girl Gone Travel, is where I share all my adventures. But my other great love is my family: my best friend and husband Travis – a gorgeous Irish/Scot by way of Wisconsin - and our wonderful boys complete my perfect, colorful package and make it easy to say I am one of the happiest people I know.   Four years ago I left a busy world of public relations behind to be with my family more and I haven’t looked back.

Q:  How many children do you have?
A: Three beautiful boys.

Q:  Where do you live?
A:We just recently moved out of NYC and into a small town in New Jersey. It was a scary move, as I am such a city girl (born in Brooklyn), but we really needed the space for our growing boys and were ready for the next adventure. Now, I absolutely love it here and our boys are so happy!

Q: What’s your astrological sign?
A: Sagittarius in every way!

Q: If your life was made into a Lifetime Movie, what would it be called?
A: The Journey to Happiness Found – I’m sure producers would find something much better than that!

Q: What is one of your favorite quotes?
A: “The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return.” Eden Ahbez, “Nature Boy”(1948). No one ever spoke to me about the power of love as a child, so I slowly discovered it on my own. What I have learned remains my greatest lesson.

Q: What TV or movie character are you most like?
A: My family agrees that I am most like Rochelle (Tichina Arnold), the mom from “Everybody Hates Chris”. I would have to agree. I am a tough, no nonsense mom, but I am also fierce when it comes to loving and caring for my guys.

Q: If you could have dinner with three famous people (dead or alive), who would you invite?
A: John Lennon, Hugh Jackman, and Eric Ripert (chef).

Q: What is your biggest vice?
A: Twitter (Tweet! Tweet!)

Q: What makes you feel sexy?
A: Feeling strong - physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Q: Fill in this blank: “ I celebrate life by _____.”
A: Not taking a second for granted and living life to the fullest each day surrounded by people I love and who make me happy.

Q: What’s your most memorable ballsy moment?
A: The day I left my bad marriage, and breaking up the family in order to give myself and my son a chance for a better life. My move paid off. After 3 years I found the love of my life and in him, my son would fi
nd a father.
