Jennifer Brandt

Hi! I'm Jennifer Brandt and I live in Los Angeles, CA with a 4 Year old master Jedi and future world leader (This according to his teachers... I'm not bragging. Yet). When I'm not trying to understand the language of boys (both young and old), I'm a writer and on-camera host. I share candid stories of my life in my blog Perfectly Disheveled, which I started in 2007 after working in Television Production for several years and being tired. I'm of course still very tired.

Q:  How many children do you have?
A: One 4 year old boy!

Q:  Where do you live?
A:We live in Los Angeles, CA, where I was born and raised. I went to New York University though and when I moved to NYC I was convinced I’d never come back to LA. EVER. 5 years, 5th floor walk up apartment, shower in my kitchen, mice with an attitude and a mugging in broad daylight later, I decided it was time to return to sunny LA. My family is here. My friends are here. My life is here. LA is home.

Q: What’s your astrological sign?
A: Virgo!

Q: If your life was made into a Lifetime Movie, what would it be called?
A: The Dirtiest Mommy on the Block: The Life and Times of Jennifer Brandt

Q: What is one of your favorite quotes?
A: "Whatever Works" -- Ralph Cohn (My grandpa. J)

Q: What TV or movie character are you most like?
A: Personality wise… If Annie and Alfie (from Annie Hall) got together and had a child, I think they’d have me.

Q: If you could have dinner with three famous people (dead or alive), who would you invite?
A: While a dinner with artists like Degas and Picasso and authors like Hemingway a la “Midnight in Paris” would be fascinating, I have to be honest- a dinner with Frank Sinatra, Harry Connick Jr. and Michael Buble (and just me) would be AMAZING. I wouldn’t let them eat though. Only sing, drink and serenade me.

Q: What is your biggest vice?
A: Facebook and wine. The two combined makes for an interesting (lethal) evening.

Q: What makes you feel sexy?
A: I feel very sexy when I’m working out believe it or not. I take Tae Bo/Cardio Drenched classes about 4 times a week and seeing myself in the mirror kick that high or move that fast makes me feel great.

Q: What’s your most memorable ballsy moment?
A: I think identifying the guy that mugged me in a police lineup and then testifying against him in court was one of the ballsiest/ scariest experiences. But backpacking through Europe by myself for 10 days took a lot of chutzpah as well.
