Linda Etherton

In 2000 I was diagnosed with celiac disease which requires a gluten-free diet.  It completely changed the way I eat and cook.  I embraced the challenge of figuring out this new diet which was not common at the time. Today I still enjoy gluten-free cooking and baking and sharing my recipes with others.

Q:  How many children do you have?
A: I have three boys who I thoroughly enjoy.

Q:  Where do you live?
A: I have spent my entire life in Maryland, lived in four different cities that are not more than 15 miles apart, and lived in four different houses within one city.

Q: What’s your astrological sign?
A: Cancer

Q: If your life was made into a Lifetime Movie, what would it be called?
A: Life With My Three Sons

Q: What is one of your favorite quotes?
A: Movie quotes are always fun and we particularly enjoy quoting The Princess Bride.  “Have fun stormin’ the castle” is one we often use when people are leaving our house.

Q: What TV or movie character are you most like?
A: Elizabeth Bennett.  I married a man who has similarities to Mr D’Arcy, and  I initially rejected him.

Q: If you could have dinner with three famous people (dead or alive), who would you invite?
A:I’ve never thought about this before, but three people I would enjoy talking to together would be Abraham Lincoln, William Wilberforce, and Harriet Tubman.

Q: What is your biggest vice?
A: Probably getting sucked into the computer.  It can be a wonderful tool, but it can also consume me.

Q: What makes you feel sexy?
A:  I’ve always been thankful that my husband is not a guy who only likes long hair. He is very fond of short haircuts on me.  Getting my hair cut, especially if it is a new cute style, makes me feel sexy.

Q: What’s your most memorable ballsy moment?
A: It was more than just a moment, but the thing that comes to my mind is a skiing trip we took as a family a few years ago.  I hadn’t skied in probably 15 years, but I didn’t let that stop me or slow me down.  I love speed, and I flew down the slopes, keeping up with the young men.  It felt great!
