I’m a writer and magazine editor, the mom of one wonderfully spirited little girl, and an erstwhile runner, hiker, and biker. Over the last 15 years I’ve hop- scotched from one delicious glossy magazine to another, doing stints covering health, beauty, nutrition, fitness and lifestyle topics at Health, More, Allure, Real Simple, Parents, American Baby, Shape, Weight Watchers, and Every Day with Rachael Ray. I’ve also written articles for Women’s Health, Self, Glamour, InStyle, Travel + Leisure, Newsweek, Town & Country, and Bazaar. I’m picky about my produce, my pants, and pretty much all products. I’m a fanatic for presto-chango home makeover shows and the QVC network. I can sleep anywhere, anytime. I’m a closeted curly-girl, a secret science-geek, a self-proclaimed speed-reader, and I could listen to Ira Glass read the phone book, in Farsi. I live with my husband and daughter in New York City.

Q:  How many children do you have? 

A:  I have a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter.

 

Q:  Where do you live?

A:  New York City, by way of a childhood in the ‘burbs of New Jersey. After college, I spent a blissful half-decade soaking up life in the San Francisco Bay Area, a decadent year in Paris when I was 28, and then moved back to the East Coast for good just over 8 years ago.

Q: What is one of your favorite quotes?

Q: If you could have dinner with three famous people (dead or alive), who would you invite?

A: Amelia Earhart (I have to know: where the heck WAS she??!) Dolly Parton Barack Obama  

 

Q: What is your biggest vice? 
A: Lots of S’s: Sugar, Sleep, Soda. I have a giant sweet tooth, an overgrown appetite for sleeping, and a thing for the bubbly stuff.  

 

Q: What makes you feel sexy?

A: A long, sweaty...hike.  

 

Q: What’s your most memorable ballsy moment?
A: Moving to Paris in my 20s—with no job, no place to live. (I do speak French, so that helped.)
