Easy Cloth Napkin Tutorial

Cloth napkins are environmentally friendly and come cheaper in the long run than paper napkins. I prefer cloth napkins to paper ones any day, they also look better, and make your party look more festive. Cloth napkins can get expensive though, especially if you are buying for large parties and want a different look every time.

My solution: I often sew them myself. Read my easy cloth napkin tutorial for fringe egde napkins and you can make these easy napkins for your next party as well.

Tip: When you are picking fabric for napkins you want it to be heavier and thicker so the napkins will be easy to fold and they’ll look better and also will stay looking good wash after wash. For my backyard makeover I found this beautiful sheet set, that almost looks like hand printed, and I wanted to create napkins that would continue the “hand made” look with fringe edges.

PS. I also made the DIY tin container for the napkins by using a Campbell's soup can, Starbucks tissue paper, ribbon and made a tassel make it match the Moroccan theme I was going for. It was a super easy craft that I made with recycled products also known as trash. You can find the soup can vase tutorial also in my blog.
