Get Ready For The Oscars and an Award Winning Weekend on LMN!
I am more excited about this year's Oscar Gala than ever before in my life! I have watched most of the nominated movies, and am planning on seeing the rest of them by Sunday. Here are some great ways you can enjoy an Award Winning Weekend at home including a movie marathon on the Lifetime Movie Network! The 82nd Academy Awards air Sunday, March 7 starting at 5 pm PT/ 8 pm ET.
HOST AN IMPROMPTU OSCAR VIEWING PARTY
It's ok if you haven't really planned on having a big party on Sunday -- you still have time to call up a few friends and see if they want to come and watch. Whether you are hosting an Oscar viewing party for your own family or for a bigger gang, check out some menu tips and recipes from the party girls Dawn and Elizabeth of Party Blue Prints.
Wolfgang Puck is serving mini hamburgers at the famed Governor’s Ball Oscar Party, why not make some sliders for your home party as well? Serve up some veggies, chips and dips, too. Make sure to focus on fabulous desserts! The desserts at the Governors Ball include chocolates, Baked Alaska and golden cupcakes. You can get these recipes and more at Party Blue Prints Blog!

WATCH THE "AWARD WINNING WOMEN" MARATHON ON THE LIFETIME MOVIE NETWORK

GET THE TV!
I sure hope that your husband got that large flat screen HDTV he was eyeballing for the Super Bowl and Olympics, because you could sure use it this weekend! If not - there is still time to go to your closest Walmart or Best Buy and carry one of those nice Philips or Samsung TVs home. And while you are there - don't forget the premium cables for your new TV. It will make all the difference in the sound quality of your surround sound system.
I'M GOING TO HOLLYWOOD!
While normally I would love to stay home this weekend, I am heading to Los Angeles. And if you didn't already guess why I am more excited about the Oscar Gala than ever before... then head to my blog Skimbaco Lifestyle and read how I got a ticket to see the action first hand (oh and see the dress I am going to wear!).
