8 DIY Holiday Gift Ideas For Grandparents

I'm not sure why, but in my family, my parents and Morgan's parents are the most difficult for me to shop for.  It's probably because at this point in their lives, there isn't much that they actually need, or even want.  So, a while back I discovered that the thing they want most for Christmas is simple - they want memories of their grandkids.  And frankly, I can't blame them - those are my favorite gifts, too!

So, I've scoured the internet and come up with 8 great DIY Grandparent gifts that will be perfect for the holidays and treasured for a long time to come.

Fingerprint Snowmen Candle Holder.  These simple votives cost uner $5 each to make and would be a welcome addition to winter decor!

How funny are these hand-crafted bookmarks that look like the kids are swinging from them?  My daughter made one of these in school last year and I love it - I use it all of the time.

This handprint and footprint snowman rug is simply adorable and will help grandparents to always remember just how big they were for the Holidays in 2012.

I am in love with these DIY photo pendants - I think I'm going to try to make these myself this year - but on a charm bracelet instead of a necklace.

Quite possibly my absolute favorite of the bunch is this DIY photo clock - I want one to hang in my own kitchen!

I order photo canvases all of the time, but did you know that you can do them yourself with some photos, canvas, and ModPodge?  Check out this DIY photo canvas tutorial to learn how to create these yourself!

I think these grandparent blocks would make a great gift for a new grandparent! I've seen similar items at craft fairs so the ability to DIY would save a ton of money.

I love that you can essentially immortalize their handwriting by making these adorable grandparent coffee mugs.  I want one that says I love mommy!
