Aries Mom Horoscope: May 14 – May 20
It's time to mend some fences, mama Aries! Has your communication suffered some setbacks as of late, maybe making a few of your closest relationships more fraught with tension than is really necessary? With Venus turning retrograde (backward) in Gemini, your third house of communication, on Tuesday of this week, there's no better time than now to dig up some of those unresolved issues and make things right. From now until June 27, you could find yourself having to get down from that lonely high horse in the sky in order to reaffirm your most important partnerships. As you told your kids when they were small, sharing is caring—as cliché as it sounds, don't let the wisdom of these words escape you.
You're great on your own, whether you're crunching numbers, making dinner, or helping the kids with their Spanish homework—but imagine what your professional life, your marriage, and your family would look like if you released some of that independent-or-die tendencies, Aries? Allow the supportive people in your midst to step up and assist you—they've been waiting patiently for you to give them the opportunity, and thanks to Venus's retrograde motion, the opportunity has arisen.
In terms of your romantic life, open up the lines of communication between you and your partner. Have you been dropping the ball when it comes to keeping the spark alive, Aries? Get more creative, now: hire a babysitter and go on some fun dates, or maybe even take a class together in a subject that's new to you both. Creative conversation will stimulate your relationship...as long as you don't let it devolve into a cutthroat argument. Keep your listening cap on, mamas, even if you have a different perspective or opinion on the situation. The same goes for discussions with your kids: even if you don't understand where they're coming from, at least have the compassion and understanding to hear them out. Get beyond your role as an authority figure and try on the role of the objective listener.
On Sunday, there's a Gemini solar eclipse, another major event for your third house—unlike the Venus retrograde phase, which lasts for about six weeks, solar eclipses encourage us to act (and think!) fast. If a new partnership—professional or personal—arises, and it feels like a good fit, why not go for it? Keep your inbox refreshed and your phone charged all day, as you may receive an important piece of news or an exciting invitation to collaborate. While we don't usually recommend working on the weekend, at least not religiously, perusing your work email might not be such a bad idea.
