Capricorn Mom Horoscope: May 28 – June 3
Monday's moon is in your ninth house of travel, expansion, and truth telling, Capricorn, setting the stage for an adventurous—and eye opening, perhaps—Memorial Day. Make sure you get some time outdoors, mamas...there's nothing like some fresh air, sunshine, and activity to get your mind off your worries; and even more importantly, being in wide-open spaces could offer you the expansive environment you need to consider all points of view. Keep your mind as open as possible, and don't be afraid to dig deep for the facts rather than believing everything you hear from the rumor mill. Time with family and neighbors—who you might be surrounded by during the day's festivities—always results in some gossip, Capricorn, but do your best to resist the urge to chime in. And do you really want your kids to hear all that dirt? Little pitchers, after all, have big ears. Aim for a "just the facts, ma'am" approach, and whenever you feel the conversation verging into less than savory territory, suggest a game of volleyball instead.
As for the rest of the week, with the Sun, mental Mercury, and love-planet Venus (in retrograde) all transiting through your sixth house of health and organization, Capricorn, it's time to position your self-care—and that of your family's—front and center in your schedule. Toss out any processed food that's made it way into your cupboards, eliminate unnecessary meetings and appointments from your schedule (you know the ones), and make family time all about exercise time. Are your bikes tuned up and ready for the summer? Have you thought about joining the community swim and tennis club? Both of these are great options to boost your family's fitness quotient this week, not to mention your own.
Take a long, hard look at your list of responsibilities, both for your professional life as well as for your domestic life. If you're doing too many favors for the people in your world, it might be time to cut some of those more co-dependent ties, Cappy. Find ways to express your love and appreciation without sacrificing time with your family and personal projects; while you might not achieve the perfect balance you're looking for (especially if you've got a career in addition to being a mom), you'll at least be closer to "making it work." The comparison trap might ensnare you this week as well. Do your best to avoid comparing yourself, your kids, or your marriage to what you think is "ideal," and keep your thoughts attuned to how amazing you and your family truly are.
