Drop Dead Diva: Welcome Back
The new season of Drop Dead Diva started on Sunday with a bang!
There was so much going on in this episode that I don't really know where to start. Maybe Jane and Owen in Milan or Grayson admitting his feelings for Jane or Stacy and Fred or maybe Parker and his son or perhaps Kim Kardashian? Or the new "angel" investor. Wait...
maybe Jane getting manipulating by an old college roommate. Seriously, way to go DDD - pulling me in every direction! My emotions were running high when the show ended, but I was really sad about Fred. I can't get over Fred.
The title of this episode was welcome back, but really it was good-bye. I hate good-byes, whether short-term or forever. In this episode, the good -bye was so final and complete I cried. I tend to connect with characters on a "personal level". I knew Fred was leaving when he told Stacy he was an angel. I said out loud - don't tell her!
I wished I could pause the TV and tell him Nooooo!
When I realized that Fred was saying good-bye for good, I felt like I was losing a friend. I really loved Fred. He was cute and quirky, innocent and loving. You know, everything you'd ever want in a guy best friend. He really was an angel. I'm still having a hard time accepting that he won't be there each week.
Now there is this new angel, Luke. I agree with Jane. I don't want a new angel. Does she really need an angel? Can someone replace Fred? I just don't know.
I am patiently waiting until next week to find out how Luke becomes involved with the firm. Will he be "spying" on Jane at work? What is Stacy going to do without Fred? Rumor has it that Stacy will be going into business with Nikki (Kim Kardashian). I can't imagine Stacy running anything other than a treadmill. It looks like Grayson and Jane will be working on a case together next week. How will Grayson contain his feelings? I don't think he can!
So.. Will you miss Fred? Do you think Luke can replace Fred?
Don't miss Drop Dead Diva, Sundays 9/8c on Lifetime.
