How to Make Your Own Bubbles
It's summer time, and that means that you are probably trying to figure out some new ways to entertain the kids while they are home. One easy, simple idea is to make homemade bubbles. You probably have all the ingredients you need in your kitchen right now, so not only is this entertaining, but there is little or no cost to you!
What you will need:
- 1/4 cup Liquid dishwashing detergent
- 1 cup Water
- 1 tsp. Sugar
- Bottle or container to hold your solution
- Bubble Wand
I just used a water bottle as my bubble container, but if you have a larger wand, you could use a larger jar or pan (for really big bubbles!). I also used green liquid dishwashing detergent, so the solution was green, which my son thought was “really neat”, but you could add a drop of food coloring if you wanted your bubbles to be a certain color. Also, if you want to make more bubble solution, just double or triple the recipe above.
We had fun making and playing with our bubbles – and I loved knowing that we spend absolutely nothing! This makes a perfect money saving summer activity for kids (and adults) of all ages.
