I Play Dress Up with My Husband

My hubs is a much younger dude trapped in an almost thirty-five year old man’s body. His preferred uniform is usually a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors or flops, a fitted tee paired with distressed shorts or jeans. Basically, he dresses like a twenty-something band kid.

But he’s not in a band…He’s in finance. Haha! For work, he has the no nonsense preppy look down pat. It’s his down time that we have to worry about. If I tell him that we’re going to a restaurant that requires him to wear actual pants…look out!

Luckily, I’ve been able to wield my influence over the past few years and it’s not AS hard as it used to be to get him to put on the ritz when we go out. Ok, puttin’ on the ritz might be exaggerating a bit. It’s not like he’s gone totally metro, but I’ve convinced him that a blazer worn over a fun colored button down, paired with his beloved jeans and Cons are a fabulous look! Now, if only I could get him to wear the hipster glasses I so adore, we’d be all set!
