Nautical Looks Inspired by "Love For Sail"

If you’ve read any of my Project Runway coverage for Lifetime Moms, you know that I’m a sucker for unscripted programming. So, when I heard about Lifetime’s new docu-dating series, “Love for Sail,” premiering Tuesday, April 10 I figured I better be prepared to add another program to my weekly must watch schedule!

Plus, the fact that it’s like an unscripted Love Boat definitely has me clearing some DVR room. According to my mother, I used to hang out of my crib to try to peek through the crack in the door whenever I heard the Love Boat theme music and then applaud when it was over. So, I guess you could say that I’m a sucker for reality TV and shows that revolve around cruise ships. Haha!

While we’re on the subject of boats, how about we talk about one of my favorite spring trends? The nautical look has been going strong for a few seasons and it’s not going anywhere this year! There are a variety of ways that you can inject a sexy sailor vibe into your look.

And you could jazz up a plain maxi with a bold, striped belt like I did! If you aren’t rockin’ an eight month preggers bump like moi, you can wear your belt at your waist. Haha! {My own Ralph Lauren belt, similar here}

No matter which nautical piece you choose, you’re sure to be on trend this spring!
