F-Bomb Dropped on Dad’s Receipt at Sports Bar
One dad in St. Louis received an unfriendly surprise on Father’s Day when he picked up the bill after having dinner with his son at a local sports bar. Right under the “1 – Wing Sauce”, the receipt stated “F**in Needy Kids.” The waitress said it was just a joke that was meant to be deleted, but that didn’t pacify dad Joseph Gibson, who shared the receipt with a local newspaper.
As a business owner, I have to say that I can’t believe the restaurant had the nerve to pull such a stunt – and I wouldn’t be keeping around employees that treat my customers like that either – but before we put ALL the blame on the restaurant – here is my question, why did this dad think it was a wise choice to take his son to a sports bar? The manager of the establishment said that they normally only serve customers that are 21 and older, which doesn’t sound like the best type of place to take a kid, anyhow.
It was Father’s Day – come on, Dad – take your son to a real place, one that you can both enjoy, and not have to worry about drunken patrons, a rowdy crowd, or cussing waitresses. And here's a clue, if they don’t have a kids menu, they probably don’t serve pint-sized customers. I get it, if my receipt dropped the F-bomb about my child, I’d be livid, too – But I wouldn’t haven’t taken any of my kids to a BAR in the first place.
What do you think? Who was MORE out of line in this situation – the restaurant or the dad?
