Pregnant Kourtney Kardashian Won’t Marry Scott Disick…And That’s OK
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Kourtney was asked whether or not she and longtime boyfriend (and baby daddy) Scott Disick had any plans to tie the knot in the near future.
"Do you wanna be in my therapy session?" Kourtney joked. "First of all, I have realized that I have major commitment problems during this pregnancy. I'm really claustrophobic, and all my issues - and I have a lot of them - they all stem from this thing. I can't commit to anything . . but I love Scott, and he is my partner."
She added: "We are committed to each other, we are together, we have a great partnership -I don't think I'm any different than Khloe and Lamar."
Good for her – seriously. While most folks would make a big deal about her kids needing a dad, I think Kourtney is being remarkably mature in this case (especially for a Kardashian). In fact, I think it makes her a better mother.
When the reality star announced she was pregnant the first time around, I was skeptical about what kind of mom she’d make – but she has proven herself to be a committed and for a lack of a better word, GOOD mom. I applaud her decision not to marry her sometimes douchey boyfriend. He seems a worthy co-parent – but a husband? Not so sure.
And besides, do we REALLY need another publicity driven two-part Kardashian wedding extravaganza? I think not.
What do you think? Has she already committed to Scott Disick by having kids with him? Or is it ok that she recognizes that she’s not ready to marry him?
