Project Runway Recap: Epsiode 8

Last week, in episode eight of Project Runway, nine men were paraded on stage, at which point we all assumed this was going to be a menswear challenge. WRONG! The designers were instructed to design a look for the significant others of said men based on the description the fellas gave the designers of their partners' style.

It was clear from the beginning that Bryce was going to struggle and struggle he did. After completely abandoning his original concept, he threw together a dress that his client actually liked, but that the judges certainly did not. I had a chance to speak with him last week and in his own words, "The garment had too many bells and whistles." I assume that he's including the large and in charge pockets that horrified Heidi in that description.

One designer who had no trouble at all delivering an amazing design was Viktor. Viktor effortlessly designed a gorgeous look that was tailor made for his client. I wanted to jump through my tv screen and rip his color block skirt right off her. Just sayin'. Quite frankly, I thought Heidi was going to deem him the winner, but I digress...Joshua M. ended up taking the prize with a lovely, yet not overly exciting LBD. Is anyone else tired of Joshua M. winning or is it just me? He is quite talented, but I think some other designers have deserved to wear the winning hat at times over him. Am I alone?

I'll see you next week lovelies! Head over to my blog, BonBon Rose Girls, for my interview with the eliminated designer Bryce!
