Where You Should Be Spending Your Thursday Nights...

That's right. January is going to be a very exciting month if you're a fashion/reality TV fan like I am! On Thursday, January 5, the Project Runway MVPs are coming back to the small screen for "Project Runway All Stars". And on January 10 fashion competition "24 Hour Catwalk" makes its debut. To say I'm psyched would be a gross understatement!

Not only do I have a passion for fashion, but this harried expectant mama needs an escape from the craziness that is my day to day life and enjoying a little reality TV action is just how I like to unwind. I pass toddler duty on to the hubs, put my feet up and settle in with my shows and an embarrassing display of snacks. I mean the little bean in my tummy has to eat. (It’s totally not me that’s craving all that junk food. Haha!) Ok, on to my new Thursday night reality TV obsessions…

Project Runway All Stars is bringing back thirteen of the most colorful designers from Project Runway's past seasons. I can't wait to see what superstars like Austin Scarlett, Sweet P and Rami Kashou have in store for us! Who can forget Austin's flair and dramatic style, Sweet P's positivity and unique aesthetic or Rami's confidence and masterful draping? I know I haven't. And with a large and in charge personality like Kenley Collins in the mix, there are sure to be fireworks.

I’m fairly certain that my bestie and I will be glued to our phones, once again debating who should stay and who should get the axe, just like we’ve done with so many past seasons! I know we’re not the only girls out there who get all fired up when the judges give our favorites the boot. I was heartbroken when Austin Scarlett was sent packing in season 1. I know the judges got sick of looking at his gowns, but this uber girly chick never did!

The judges this go around are famed designer Isaac Mizrahi, one of my personal favorite designers Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and editor extraordinaire Joanna Coles. I'm definitely interested to see what they bring to the table. Will Isaac throw out Michael Kors(ish) one liners? Will Georgina bring sweet or sour sentiments? Will Joanna be the tough cookie that Nina Garcia is? Only time will tell.

As far as my predictions go...I think Rami's drive just might take him to the end and I'm not so sure that Elisa has the stuff to compete with the others. I can see her going home first. It will be interesting to see if I've got a little Miss Cleo in me...no? (I'll be posting interviews weekly with the eliminated designers, so come back on Friday afternoon to see if I'm right!)

As if another dose of Project Runway wasn't enough to get this fashion lovin' girl whipped up into a frenzy, the addition of 24 Hour Catwalk to Lifetime's lineup has nearly put me over the edge. 

Having been a long time fan of the new show's host, Alexa Chung's, fearless style, I can't wait to see what killer ensembles she rocks. Not that Alexa's wardrobe is the only thing I'll be tuning in for...I totally dig the premise of the show. 

Four designers will be given the chance to create a collection and show it in front of known fashion experts like Cynthia Rowley, Derek Blasberg and James LaForce. The caveat is, that once the designers are narrowed down to two finalists, they will have a mere 24 hours to create their collection. Can you imagine how stressful that would be? Drama will, no doubt, be there in spades! And let's face it...who doesn't enjoy watching a little drama unfold!

So, who else is sitting on pins and needles waiting for the premieres of these sure to be addictive shows? How will you be enjoying them? Will you be conference calling your best buds and going to town on goodies galore like moi?
