Dance Moms
Back in Action (My Episode 3, Season 3 Recap)
Returning to dance class after the silent protest was easy for me and Kendall. Even though we were only gone for a week, Kendall missed dancing and I missed watching her! I had no reservations signing Abby's contract in order to get back into the studio. I signed it before, so signing it again was no problem. In terms of the protest, I have no regrets because I think in the end we all got what we wanted. The Hylands are back and the kids are dancing. The only problem is Abby and her lack of understanding of why we did what we did. Upon our return I knew Abby wouldn't make it easy for us or our children to walk back into the studio. Abby decided to keep Sophia on our team to be a constant reminder of how hard our kids need to work to be amazing like her.
And it was no surprise to me at all to see all of our kids on the bottom of the pyramid and Sophia on top. It was, however, surprising to me that she put her whole team on probation except Sophia! This is Abby's way of punishing the girls. She thinks this will motivate them but I think it just hurts all of their feelings and defeats all of the long hours of practicing they have put in for Abby. Abby hardly knows Sophia and her mom, so why is she putting all of her apples in one basket?! I think it's great that Abby wants to motivate the girls; I don't think she needs to have Sophia and her mom prance around in front of us acting like they are better than us though. Our ALDC team does just fine without them, and no I’m not saying that because I’m jealous, honest! Ummm we just won a national title! Sophia was a nice addition to our team this week but Abby was disappointed at the group number. I honestly think she didn't want the girls to win so she could teach them a lesson about missing class. I'm glad the girls won, I'm proud of our team. I'm proud of Kendall. It feels good to be back in action!
Until next time...
