Boys vs. Girls. Plus a Pretty In Peplum Look

So, who else felt bad for Team Pink on “Project Runway” this week? The boys were calm, cool and collected, whereas the ladies were all over the place! The designers were asked to create a look for Lord &Taylor that would be a part of its “Project Runway” collection in honor of PR’s tenth anniversary and for some reason the gals had major trouble with the task.

Although the girls did indeed struggle with this challenge, I didn’t enjoy Ven’s passive aggressive digs at female designers. And besides, a woman took the prize in the end…Take that Ven! I will admit, however, that the fellas definitely showed us what they were made of this challenge. Johnnie Chiffonnie, AKA Christopher, created a nude and black gown that oozed sophistication and I would rock Fabio’s LBD (little black dress) any day of the week! But it was Elena who really impressed the judges with her sweet/edgy combo of a dress. That harness was seriously fierce!

I decided to show some female solidarity and chose Sanjia’s design for my inspiration look this week. I love that she ended up being safe after literally torturing herself the entire episode! Peplum is a trend I’ve been dying to try out myself and minus some technical issues, I thought her design was just darling. Styled with peep toes and a pretty in pink clutch, this outfit is begging to be taken out on the town! I call this look POWER GLAM! The woman who wears it is a force to be reckoned with. We are women…Here us ROAR!
