Drop Dead Diva: Can You Have Your "Pake" And Eat It Too?

So, can you have Pake and eat it too? If you missed this week's episode you probably think Pake is a typo. It's not.

A pake is a brillant (??)  idea that Stacy cooked up in the kitchen with Nikki . A Pake is a cross between a cake and a pie. I am not sure what that tastes like, but it sure does sound funny. Stacy decided to start a business with Nikki.  Is she really done with her acting career? I guess the bigger question is, can she run a business? Hmm? If I were Jane, I would stay far away from lending my money to her. I guess we will see how that turns out in the next episode - Grayson will be helping work out her legal matters.

While Stacy was busy baking, Jane was busy pushing the limits of the law. This case was emotionally compelling, but I was surprised that Jane went as far as she did with the boy's mother. However, she did look cute in jail.

Ultimately, I think Jane learned she cannot have her "pake" and eat it too.  As badly as Jane wants it, as long as Luke is around, Grayson is going to be off limits.  Luke "politely" reminded Jane that if Grayson found out, well, it wasn't going to be pretty.  She had to "shut it down" or else.

It TOTALLY broke my heart to watch the scene with Grayson at the bar. First, what woman in her right mind doesn't think Ghost is romantic?  Really!  I thought for a minute that Jane was going to take a big risk and let Grayson know. I was disappointed that Owen showed up, even though he genuinely seems to care. (But, hey he is NO Grayson).

It seems as if Luke is going to push Jane into a relationship that her heart is not into. I am guessing that many of you don't like Luke right now, the jury is still out for me.  Do you love or hate Luke?

Did you notice the comments by Kim's Dad this week about her and Parker being together?  I did! They will be teaming up in the next episode to represent Owen's sister in her divorce case - wonder if we will see a renewed romance?  That is another relationship I am conflicted about. I would really like Parker to find his son.

Don't forget to tune in Sunday, 9/8c! If you missed this week's episode, you can check it out online here.
