Project Runway
Project Runway Episode 11: Here Come the Crying Babies!
Each Thursday night, I can't wait to get my four kids in bed and then settle down in the best spot on the couch (there is always a best spot) and watch my fave show, Project Runway.
But this week - there was suddenly CRYING.
A lot of crying from my television set. Heidi, make it stop! This is the time of day when I don't have to listen to constant whining and whimpering!! What is going on?!
You see Heidi Klum has a new adorable fashion line, Truly Scrumptious for babies and toddlers. And the designers had to create an outfit for an actual toddler with advice from his or her mom. The winning girl and boy looks will be manufactured and sold at Babies R Us.
Dmitry immediately puts it all in perspective. "Those babies are really really small. It's like you are making an outfit for a cat."
But then the designers find out that they have to create this toddler look while taking care of those fake babies who actually cry all the time and need to be changed, fed and rocked. (I can only assume they are trying to teach the designers about preventing unwanted pregnancies.)
Fabio seems to think his baby is actually real. Dmitry whispers comforting words to his like, "Baby, please shut up." I think Elena named hers a**hole. And Christopher insists he needs a drink. (Yes, Christopher, this is exactly why parents drink so much wine.)
The crying is very annoying and just when I think one of the designers is going sew a fake baby's mouth shut, Tim Gunn saves the day and takes them all away to daycare. Tim Gunn, my hero again!
But then the designers find out that they have to create a companion look for mom.
Melissa is once again insanely behind in her work and actually ends up asking her client mom to sew on a few buttons! Way to delegate Melissa. And Christopher's client hates her own look and her daughter's look. As she puts it, ""I don't like it...not under any circumstance." That stings a bit.
Time for the runway show! And guess who wins? Christopher for this sweet, "let's go to brunch" duo...
