Project Runway
Project Runway Season 10, Episode 13: No More Crazy Competitions! Time to Design a Collection
It's finally time for designers to head home for five weeks, get inspired by their mom's accident x-rays and design a ten piece collection!
At least that's what Christopher did.
Loveable Tim visited each of the four remaining designers. Christopher seemed to be making good progress turning his mother's x-ray into high style fashion. Meanwhile, Tim was a little baffled but excited by Fabio's collection which included pastels, clunky shoes and long johns. Dmitry was making good progress and Melissa had her usual goth look going on. She did take Tim on a very windy boat ride and I'm just glad neither of them flew off the stern.
Then the designers all headed to New York where they still had hems and zippers to sew. I never quite understand why they don't have time to finish their zippers in the FIVE allotted weeks. Were they too busy watching Dance Moms?
Each designer must now present three looks to the judges so it can be determined who is going to fashion week. And pretty much every season, this is when a few designers decide for some inexplicable reason not to show their wow pieces. I have no idea why (much like the hems and the zippers), but suddenly the designers freeze and put something so-so down the runway.
Christopher made this mistake, but the judges still liked many of his pieces even with the creepy (I mean, haunting and alluring) x-ray fabric.

Forever self-doubting Melissa also did not exactly wow anyone with her black and white looks. But judges still thought the outfits were cool and contemporary.

Fabio had a very unique point of view with pastel colors which the judges liked. But they wanted his clothes to look more luxurious and expensive. I never quite get Fabio, but then again, pastels look awful on me so I might be holding that against him.

And as usual, Dmitry's pieces were polished and gorgeous. But the judges hate the way he styles. The combinations are too old. I'm personally not really in the market for clothes that show off my navel and I actually liked Dmitry's own outfit the best.

In the end, the designers sort of did a good job and sort of didn't. So guess what?! They all go to fashion week. They really do all deserve to go because they are each talented with their own point of view.
Now I am going to predict the winner. I would not place any Las Vegas bets on this because I've been wrong many times. But here I go. It's going to be close between Dmitry and Christopher and I think Dmitry is going to win. Of course, I may just have a soft spot for a man in black leather pants.
