The Boys' Club (My Episode 6, Season 3 Recap)

Change is good - that's my new motto this season. So what better way to make some changes to the Candy Apples than to make it an all-boys dance team? While I loved working with the girls (and I adored the frilly costumes), many of my title winners were getting too old to compete and putting together a team of all males was a major coup for me. One boy is a novelty - but ALL boys? I knew this would go over well at the competitions, and most importantly...it would REALLY needle Abby!

I knew Abby was going to pay us a visit before the competition started - she's predictable that way. Especially, since Zack was one of her "Ultimate Dance Moms" competitors. When she handed out her ALDC t-shirts to the kids, I told them to go home and clean their cars with them.

The Pink Lemonade group dance wasn't bad - and I'll give Abby some credit; her girls have star quality as a unit. Their costumes and looks are impressive - and that's exactly why we lost by one tenth of a point. They LOOKED good - but I didn't think their actual dancing was that great. Let me put it this way - they have been dancing for years together while my team had only been dancing for two days together at the time of the competition.  They should have beaten us by a MUCH bigger margin. Let's just say that this first dance of ours was a calling card - and you'll be seeing a lot more of us in the near future!
