Victor's 15 Fabulous, Fun & Fierce Rules For Dance Moms

It takes a certain special something to dance competitively. And a whole lot of patience and committment is required by the parent of a child in the competitive dance world . Nobody knows that better than Choreographer and co-owner of Miami-based Stars Dance Studio, Victor Smalley (his first big break was as a finalist on season six of "So You Think You Can Dance") and his mother Mayra helps manage the studio.

Read Victor's tips for being Fabulous, Fun and Fierce and watch him in action on "Dance Moms Miami", Lifetime's docu-series airing Tuesdays at 10/9c on Lifetime.

#1 Remember the three F's: Be fierce. Be fun. And be fabulous.

#2 Your child was not born a star. That's why they're at Stars.

#3 Drama drama drama. We all have it but leave it in your prada bag and dance (hair flip)!

#4 Remember in the dance world there is always someone better then you. Don't let your ego get in the way. Stay humble.

#5 The dance world is brutal so fight for what you want or be forgotten.

#6 Sickle your feet and die.

#7 Don't disrespect the person that taught you how to walk in those heels.

#8 I'm an artist not a therapist that works out your delusions. You need a prescription for that.

#9 I'm like tinkerbell, my choreography is like pixie dust and if you don't believe in the magic, I'll die.

#10 Dont dance, LIVE and others will live through you.

#11 If you're happy and you know it clap your hands. But if you're in a stank mood shut the ____up.

#12 Unless you're lying in a hospital bed you better be at dance.

#13 Reputation takes years to build and seconds to destroy so always be on your best... and on your leg.

#14 LIVE. But get your leg up....with control.

#15 Hold your leg up like you're painting your toe nails.
