NBA Player Gets Free Pass to Cheat. This Girl Isn't Interested.
NBA player Andrei Kirilenko is seriously living the dream. Not only is he a forward for the Brooklyn Nets, but his wife allows him to cheat once a year - as long as he's honest about it.
Yup. He can have sex with another woman once a year. Apparently, the agreement is to keep him from sleeping around when he is away traveling for 7 months.
“What’s forbidden is always desirable. And athletes, particularly men, are susceptible to all the things they are offered,” his Russian pop star wife Masha Lopatova told the Salt Lake Tribune in 2006 when he played for the Utah Jazz.
Lopatova says affairs won't be tolerated - this is a one time annual deal. She says it's not cheating if she knows about it. Hmm....
Now many of us have the list. You know, celebrities that we can sleep with if we ever have the opportunity. I mean, I don't really have a list. I can't think of anyone I would put on it. Maybe Bradley Cooper, Josh Lucas, a couple of those guys on Chicago Fire. Okay, I have a list. Sorry Kirilenko - you're not on it.
But it's one thing to have a list of celebrities you will likely never meet and if you did - you would still have to convince them to have sex with you. It's quite another to be a famous Russian NBA player and have your pick once a year of your adoring lady fans.
Now Kirilenko insists he has never taken his wife up on the offer. But still. This doesn't seem like a fabulous idea. And what bothers me the most is that it isn't reciprocal. He can cheat. She can't. Well, who the heck wants that?!
Unless it's an agreement like he can do all the laundry and she can't. Then I would be more on board.
And if he did sleep with another woman, would he REALLY tell her over dinner one night? "Honey, just to let you know, remember that fun agreement we made? Well, I did it. I slept with this really cute brunette. Oh you would have loved her. Super nice girl. So that's that until next year. Can you pass the mashed potatoes?"
Oh yeah. No problem. She would totally be cool with that.
But Kirilenko and Lopatova have been apparently happily married for 13 years so maybe they know something we don't.
Would you ever let your spouse have a freebie once a year? Maybe just a kiss with someone else?
