Aries Mom Horoscope: April 23 – April 29
Is your basement full of started—but not finished—projects, mama Aries? You’ve got a tendency to go forth (with gusto!) on your goals, but as things get busier and you get more overwhelmed, many of them often fall to the wayside. With the Sun in your productive second house of work and money this week, and thanks to its connection with go-getter Mars in your sixth house of organization, you’ll have the planetary support to take care of biz better than ever now. Yes, you’ve got a lot on a your plate—but with a carefully mapped out plan of action, reaching your goals could be just over the next horizon. Enlist the helpful people in your life into your plans: delegate a few tasks to a colleague, ask your babysitter to come a few extra hours, or maybe even get your kids to lend a hand. As long as you’re clear about exactly how and when you need something done, getting a little assistance will add fuel to your productive fire.
Also in the spotlight this week? Your personal health, and that of your family’s. No matter how busy you get, make time for exercise. Get thee to the gym, Aries! Or, find simple ways to embrace the fitness muse: take the steps instead of the elevator at work, walk the kids to school and skip the carpool line, and replace that fast-food lunch break with a quick sandwich and a thirty-minute walk around the ‘hood. Nix the “What’s for dinner?” conversation this week, and create a healthy meal schedule for your family, as well as a list of groceries for just one grocery store run. And while throwing down a few extra bucks for organic produce and free-range meat might stretch the budget a bit, think of all the great meals you’ll be feeding yourself and your kids…and how well you’ll sleep knowing that you’re putting good things in their bodies and yours. Switch out all the caffeine and refined sugar from your diet with healthy substitutions now, too—though sweets cups of joe might seem to help you cope with stressful moments, they also create the emotional ups and downs that someone who’s out to accomplish a million things—i.e. YOU—can’t be bothered by. Try energizing herbal teas or fresh-pressed juices instead.
As the weekend arrives, connect with the important men in your life. Whether you’re having a heart to heart with your son, giving some advice to your significant other, or just schmoozing with your pops over pancakes and coffee, your presence and words will offer them just the support and the love they were craving. Resist the urge to make everything right for these special guys—even if there’s a science project is due Monday or your erstwhile brother needs yet another loan. Instead, help them to step powerfully into their independence.
