Cancer Mom Horoscope: April 2 – April 8
The truth shall set you free, mama Cancer! Mercury turns direct this week (on Wednesday, to be exact), after three weeks in retrograde (backward) movement. It's now traveling through your ninth house, helping you express yourself authentically for the first time in awhile. While you may not have been lying, per se, you may just have had a hard time honestly portraying your emotions. If "I'm OK…seriously!" has been your go-to response to friends and family alike, it's time to bare your soul a little more completely now.
The ninth house is also home to the travel and education elements of your life, so consider it safe to unbuckle those seat belts and move about the cabin...or the continent! Thankfully, this retrograde phase ends just before the spring holidays of Easter and Passover, saving you from having to entertain the kids for hours on end because of travel delays and cancelled flights.
On Tuesday, planet of love and beauty Venus enters Gemini, your twelfth house of fantasy, healing, and completion. Because Venus's visitations usually last four to six weeks, this four-month stint in one sign (until August 7), is the perfect opportunity to accomplish something big: take on a major community service project in your community or at your children's school, sign up your kids for piano or acting lessons (and take them along to see performances in your local town or city), or get more involved in your spiritual community. Always wanted to try meditation, but haven't yet worked up the courage? There's nothing crazy about it—especially when your health improves and your inspiration flourishes as a result. You'll have all the mothers on the block rolling out their yoga mats and saying "Om." Been unlucky in love or have some obstacles you'd like to disappear from your current romance? Whether you're married, a single mom on the dating scene, or "too busy" to date (yeah, right), use the next few months to delve into past hurts and angry wounds. With the help of close friends and maybe even a therapist, work on communicating what you need from a relationship...and how you might be limiting yourself from achieving those goals. It's important not to throw the baby out with the bathwater: if you've got something good, be careful not to sabotage it.
Friday brings a full moon in your fourth house of home and family, and you'll be happiest in the throes of your nearest and dearest. Invite over family and close friends, and celebrate love and togetherness under the light of the full moon. While cooking up a feast or dealing with your family's many personalities is never easy, think about the happy memories you're making for your kids...that works for us every time (almost).
