Cancer Mom Horoscope: April 23 – April 29
Though you're not one for crowds, Cancer mamas, thanks to the conjunction of the Taurus Sun (in your eleventh house of friendship) and go-getter Mars (in your third house of communication), this week has you feeling ready to see and be seen. No matter how loudly that comfy couch is calling to you after a long day of shoelace tying, office politicking, and kid ferrying, head to those networking events, parties, and intimate get-togethers instead. Looking to add some new faces to the mix? Don't wait for them to come to you—introduce yourself to fellow moms at your children's school and extracurricular activities, join a book group that meets at your favorite local bookstore, or maybe even start working with an organization that does community service work in your town or city. There's no one that loves a one-on-one chat more than you, Crab, but do make sure you're not rehashing the same old gossip with the same old peeps—write down a list of the people who inspire and motivate you, and arrange a time to meet one or two of them this week for coffee or dinner.
This weekend, the Sun connects with transformational Pluto, currently in retrograde (backward) motion in Capricorn, your seventh house of committed relationships. Thanks to this planetary movement, you could become aware of the fact that your closest relationships—your marriage or your relationship with a romantic partner, especially—have become mired in some super-serious vibes. Can't remember the last time you and your honey made each other laugh so hard you couldn't breathe? Or when you talked about something other than the kids' grades and how much (or how little) is in the bank? As simplistic as it sounds, it's time to add some merriment to your relationship, Cancer—some pure, unbridled, joyous FUN. Even if you usually love to play the role of armchair therapist (or have it played for you), turn it off for the weekend and head outside for an adventure or two. If a weekend getaway or a night on the town is possible, put it on the schedule! And change the subject anytime things get too intense. The same goes for your relationships with your kids and your BFF, as well. Every Mother Hen (and you're so the Mother Hen, aren't you?) needs a night or two off, and this weekend is the perfect time to cancel office hours.
