Cancer Mom Horoscope: March 26 – April 1
Remember when people used to have Rolodexes, Cancer? Well, thanks to the moon, Venus, and Jupiter's get-together in your super-social eleventh house on Monday of this week, it's time to flip through that giant wheel of contacts! For the first half of the week, make sure your schedule is jam-packed with meetings, play-dates, and some great group activities...hey, maybe even a double-date for you and your honey (seriously, when's the last time you had a date, much less a double-date?). Pack some extra business cards in that humungous purse of yours—we know you have one—and don't be shy about passing them out while you're in line at the coffee shop, schmoozing at the playground, or volunteering at the neighborhood 5K. And speaking of volunteering, the first half of the week would be a great time to participate with the family on a community service project of some kind—not only will you give your kids the opportunity to help those less fortunate, but it will provide everyone with a healthy dose of perspective. Suddenly, that missed homework assignment or being passed over for a promotion at work will seem much less significant in the grand scheme of things.
Mid-week brings a challenging square between the Sun (in Aries) and Pluto (in Capricorn)—you may have trouble balancing your professional life or projects with your personal life. While this planetary movement might cause a headache or two, let it be a teachable moment, Crab: are your kids and your hubby a little too dependent on you to hold everything together? Or, on the other hand, do your boss, colleagues, or even your BFF just not get that you have a family? Take responsibility for whatever co-dependent relationships you've created, and rework the balance in your closest relationships.
Also occurring this week is Mercury's continuing retrograde (backward) movement, now making its way through your ninth house of travel and entrepreneurial ventures. Take extra care with any travel-related plans, and if you've got a cottage industry in the works, do your best to stay patient and calm with delays or miscommunication between you and your clients. Are you feeling uninspired, or worse, unfulfilled? Meet up with a mentor that helped you get your first job, look through old travel photographs from last year's family trip to the lake house, or maybe even reread a book that you loved in the past. Mercury retrograde is a great time to review and reflect. Sometimes you have to take a step or two backward to move forward.
