Candace Cameron Chats About Work, Juiceboxes & Her Own Full House
Now that my kids are 8 and 12, they are hooked on shows that I used to watch as a kid. In fact, on a typical rainy day, you can find them watching "Full House" on demand for hours on end. While I get to check in with the Tanner clan and relive all those episodes, it takes me back to a simpler time in my life when big hair, stonewashed jeans, fuschia make-up, blazers with shoulder pads and sweater vests were all the rage. In fact, when I tell my kids that I used to dress that way, they just point and laugh uncontrollably. Lucky for me, one of the stars of the show confided that her own kids do the same thing to her!
I recently got the chance to interview Candace Cameron Bure, who played DJ Tanner on "Full House," and I'm happy to report that her poufy hair, blazers and stone washed jeans are now a thing of the past. In fact, she looks absolutely amazing! Candace is now a mom of
three (two boys and a girl), happily married to retired LA Kings hockey star Valeri Bure, and stars in the ABC Family series "Make it Or Break It."
Candace was on hand to spread the word about the 30th birthday of the juicebox. To celebrate this milestone, she announced that families can potentially win $2500 and a year supply of juice boxes. Just visit Juice Box Birthday and enter the Juicebox Jamming music video contest by uploading a family music video. I don't know about you, but as a serial juice box consumer and song parody aficcionado, this contest may be right up my alley.
Check out our interview with Candace and find out how she manages to balance work and family and never misses a beat. Plus, she shares how her own kids have become hooked on "Full House" and even talks about her guilty pleasure....reading on the beach. So is she a Kindle, iPad or old school book fan? Well, you'll have to watch to find out!
Do you have any juicebox or bad hair memories? We'd love to hear about them!
