My Funny Son

Over the years, there's one thing I've discovered about my son - he loves to make us laugh.  Whether he's telling a joke, doing the moon walk or wearing a funny mustache while speaking with a strange accent, my third grader has become quite a character.  In fact, just yesterday, an old friend of ours sent us a video of him when he was three years old and even back then, he was absolutely adorable. Okay - maybe I'm impartial because I'm his mom, but seriously - take a look and get ready to crack up!

I'm convinced my son's comedy streak runs in my family.  Back when I was a pre-schooler and my brother was in kindergarten, my mom kept an ancient recording of the two of us telling jokes.  My brother mixed up two classic jokes (Why did the chicken cross the road? and Why did the fireman wear red suspenders?) and came up with the following:

Why did the chicken wear red suspenders?

To hold his eggs up!

Good thing we never quit our day jobs!

If you think you've got a kid who is laugh out loud funny, then you should definitely check out Heidi Klum's new show, "Seriously Funny Kids."   The show debuts on Lifetime Television on February 1 and features the supermodel and supermom interacting with children to bring out the hilarious things they say.  As for me, I better get back to the living room - my son is about to start his evening stand-up routine!
