Pisces Mom Horoscope: March 12 – March 18
Hold on to your wallet, Pisces! This week, Mercury turns retrograde (backward) in your second house of work and home, and from now until March 24, when Mercury makes its way into Pisces, focus on the ins and outs of your spending and saving process. Mercury retrograde phases help us to examine the past for clues about the present and future, so do just that: take a look at how you’ve budgeted your family’s money in the past few months. Have you been eating out instead of cooking dinner at home? Are you buying exclusive (and expensive!) brand names to feel like part of the in-crowd…or so your children feel “cool” at school? Start to trim the fat from your finances, Pisces, and put the money that you would have spent on dinner for five at your favorite restaurant towards a shopping cart of organic, local, and sustainable groceries from your local natural foods market. Chances are, you’ll probably have some pennies to spare!
Ready to go back to work or looking to get a boost up the corporate ladder? This week, focus on old friends and former co-workers—not only will they have great wisdom to share about the search process, interviewing, and perfecting your resume, but they could also be the source of your next position. And if you’re already happily (or, at least, gainfully) employed, make more of an effort now to be diplomatic, respectful, and courteous to your colleagues. Outside of our families, our colleagues are the people we spend the most time with—don’t let Mercury retrograde foil any of these important relationships.
Also on the planetary horizon this week is a “heavenly trine” in the sectors of your chart focused on communication. Make sure there’s room in your busy schedule for activities that inspire, motivate, and stimulate your brain: schedule a meeting for your book club, attend a lecture at the local bookstore or museum, or take a workshop or class to develop some new skills. If you see a friendly face at one of these events (or in the carpool line at your kid’s school), initiate a conversation—this could be the new best friend you didn’t know you were looking for!
