Room For One More? (My Episode 4 Recap)

I have to say that I was a little surprised when Leslie and Payton joined us for pyramid.   I should have known that Leslie would pop back into the picture.  I know that Leslie and Abby are close friends, and when Leslie gave Abby an ultimatum to "find her a spot" it only makes sense that Abby would quickly fill Brooke's spot with Payton.  I think Payton is a beautiful dancer and has a lot to offer a competitive team, I do however stand my ground in feeling that Payton is 14 years old and dances older and bigger than these girls. 

Leslie feels Payton is a better dancer than Kendall, she probably is, but Abby originally picked Kendall for the team.  I am happy for Payton because she wants this badly.  I give her credit for wanting to dance with younger kids knowing she is much taller than all of them.  I don't ever want to leave another dancer out of a dance, we are all in this together. After the group dance, Abby and Payton had some words and Leslie went a little overboard with Abby.  It's always uncomfortable when Abby goes at it with one of the moms.  I do however want Kendall to show Abby once and for all that she made the right choice in picking her.  I need Kendall to give it her all.  It might not be fair for a 9 year old to feel pressure from her teacher, but it's not a perfect world and she does feel the heat that Abby is putting on her to perform.  

No matter how Kendall performs, I will always be proud of her.  She knows this is an important day for her and I figured that I would give her a little more than motherly advice, $20.00 ha ha.  I had taken out some money to give to Kendall for all the girls to buy fudge at the convention center.  They didn't have time to go so I stuck the money in the caboodle.  When Kendall saw the money in there she asked if she could have it.  That's when I said, if you do well in your trio, that $20 is yours!  Ok ok, so I bribed her a little, I'm sure i'm not the only parent that has used a little bribe to entice their child to perform.  

It was an honor for Kendall to be put in the trio with Maddie and Chloe.   I think the bribe worked, the trio was adorable and all of the girls did great!  Abby was very surprised when the trio didn't win.  But when the girls came back with fudge for her I think she was over it :) I was sad to hear Kelly was happy when the trio didn't win.  I would never wish for kids to try their hardest and not win.  If it were Paige in there instead of Kendall, I would still want them to win, that's called supporting your team.  I'm sure the time will come when Paige is in the trio and Kendall is not, and I will wish them to win.  "Just saying"  Tomorrow is another day, I wish the best for all of the girls!
