4 Ways to Get Free Samples
Admit it – opening your mailbox to find it stuffed full of free samples is downright exciting and just plain fun. So what are the best ways to get great freebies that you will actually use?
1. Request them online. Companies frequently offer samples of new items when they launch them, and having them sent to you is as easy as filling out a simple form. But how do you find these forms? There are numerous blogs and forums dedicated to finding the best free samples on the web. Of course you can always find the cream of the crop on Deal Seeking Mom.
2. Ask for them in stores. Many stores have great samples available for the asking. This is especially true for department store beauty counters and specialty stores like Sephora. Just as an example, Sephora is currently offering a free sample of Bare Escentuals Matte Foundation. All you have to do is ask for it in stores!
3. Provide feedback to the manufacturer. Whether you've had a good experience or a bad experience, manufacturers want to hear your opinion. I've had great success in writing to companies whose products I love and telling them how much I love and appreciate them. And then I simply ask if they have any coupons or samples available. A good percentage of the time they are thrilled to send something out to me. I've had the same experience when I've given negative feedback and expressed that I'd love to give them another try.
4. Register with sites like Kraft First Taste or Vocalpoint. These companies send out samples to members to try, and then request that you provide feedback on them. I've received fantastic free product coupons and full-size products to try out recently.
One caveat of signing up for freebies online is that you often end up with a lot of spam emails or other newsletters that you may not be very interested in. I encourage you to set up an email specifically for freebies so that you don't clutter up your personal email with offers.
