Would You Let Erykah Badu Deliver Your Baby?

Erykah Badu wants to become a midwife.

I'm not surprised though, since I've been watching her spokesperson work with the International Center for Traditional Childbearing–an amazing organization.

I've always been a huge supporter of midwives, particularly related to their powerful role in helping women have full term babies, more informed deliveries, fewer C-sections and in reducing infant mortality in vulnerable communities.

I know it's important work.

And Erykah Badu has already been working as a doula, or as Erykah "Badoula", as her clients allegedly call her.

Either way, our world needs more midwives and doulas, even of the celebrity sort. Here's why:
