We've been testing out the Strider ST-4 Balance Bike and we're really impressed. Designed for durability and ease of use, with a lightweight, steel frame, puncture-proof tires, quick-adjust seat and handlebar height, and "launchpad" footrests. If your child can walk, he can learn to ride and glide with a no-pedal Strider bike. You can extend the life of your Strider with an extra-long seat post that brings the existing 11-16 inch seat height up to 19 inches (a very flexible range, especially at the price point). Strider has even introduced the SUPER 16 (SS-1) bike for older kids, ages 6-10, who either struggle with pedal bikes or just want to perform tricks and stunts. We wish we had bought a Strider when our eldest child was a toddler so she could have skipped the training wheel removal stress. Available at striderbikes.com.
