Do you ever feel like you’re walking a tightrope with a basket of eggs on your head? You make one slight move off balance and all of the eggs come crashing down, as you fall to the floor.
As a Christian wife, homechooler, housekeeper, friend, business owner, and writer, I have many eggs in my basket. I am careful that each is tucked in safely, as I walk the rope trying to balance them all, but sometimes true balance is hard to achieve.
I find that it’s easier to lose balance when you have distractions. Noise, clutter, over commitment, illness (migraines, in my case), or stressful situations are all likely culprits. But, focusing on your goal - the end of the tightrope - and avoiding distractions, will allow you to accomplish anything.
My relationship with my Lord comes first and will be the last egg to fall, but maintaining healthy relationships in and outside of my home is also very important to me. At the end of the day it’s all about furthering the kingdom by being a godly example to those around me. By walking in the Light I can rest in the peace of maintaining perfect balance.
