The #1 Way to Get Fit for Summer
Trying to get fit for summer and ready for all of those four letter words? Oh, you know they are coming. Some may need to cover their ears if you are reading aloud. Ready or not, here are the four letter words: Tank Tops, Bare Arms and the grand daddy of em’ all Swim Suit.
Is a little summer body preparation in order? Yep. Say what we will, we all have to prepare for things. Tax time? We’ve got to get those receipts ready. Back to School time? We’ve got to get those folders, pens and school clothes. And for Summertime? We’ve got to get those... eeiyykkk shorts ready. Moms know a lot about getting prepared. Anyone who has given birth knows what it’s like to prepare and go through labor. Similar to giving birth there are some things you just have to do. Unlike giving birth you won’t lose 10 pounds in one push-up.
So how do we get fit for summer and not go crazy over showing a little skin? What’s the #1 way to get fit for summer? Let’s not count it down let’s start at the top. Let’s just put it all out there. Oh yes, that is the #1 way to get fit for summer. To put it all out there. And I haven’t lost it. I’m actually just now getting it. But it took a while. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who has gone to the beach wearing black from head to toe with only my head, hands and feet exposed.
You know what men usually say about beautiful women? They like the one that walks into the room… or down the beach who believes she is the most beautiful woman there. Who feels confident in her own skin. That woman, who walks in with flat abs or a little junk in her trunk is the one that people love and is the one that we should too. We have to love ourselves and the skin that we are in now. We have to stop missing out on the fun because we don’t feel we look our best.
So the #1 way to get fit for summer is to get your mind set on this: I will enjoy this summer. I will enjoy the sun and the fun. I will also remember that they make spanx and every cut and style of bathing suit imaginable. I will look good. And my figure? It will come and sometimes it will go. But I will be somebody who is fit for summer.
