The Clean Start Challenge 2010!

The daily life of a mom can be dirty business. Our life can get messy amid the chaos of going from diapers to dinner, maintaining a professional life, being a great wife, cleaning, meaning to squeeze into our skinny jeans and everything in between. Sometimes we just need a clean start. Here’s the good news - you can have one today. Make up your mind and do it. Here’s the better news. Lifetime and SC Johnson want to give you  $1,000 to help.

Understanding the joys and strains of family life is what SC Johnson is all about. Cleaning up our house literally and figuratively is at the heart of the 2010 Clean Start Challenge. You can join the Clean Start Community and cheer on four women who have vowed to make a clean start. They will be completing a series of challenges over the next three months as they aspire to reach their goals and to win $10,000 in the process.

Their goals range from learning to cook, start a business, getting out of mom jeans, losing weight, balancing motherhood, making the most of time with a traveling husband to getting their financial house in order. All things that we can identify with and want for ourselves.

It’s going to be fun to follow their progress through new videos every Wednesday and to see the behind-the-scenes details in the myLifetime.com Clean Start Community.

I am thrilled to be mentoring one of the contestants Zakiyyah Clark Johnson from Newark, NJ. I will be using my skills to help her fulfill her goal of losing weight and fitting into her wedding dress before her June. When we are done Zakiyyah will not only jump the broom but she will be able to leap over it.

I am looking forward to meeting Zakiyyah. Even though the challenge has just started, she is already half way to achieving her goal. The difference between success and failure is desire. She is full of excitement and the desire to be a healthy beautiful bride and mom.
