Fit & Healthy Moms
As a mom of three boys who is always striving towards that "fit & healthy" woman I want to be, I believe being truly healthy includes more than just the physical. Our bodies, our weight management, our fitness -- are all very important as we work on being in shape and feeling good. But I believe they are pieces of a larger puzzle. What does it mean to you to be a fit & healthy mom?
To me those physical pieces also include pieces of the soul. Balancing our body fitness with our mind wellness, that's the way to truly feeling healthy inside and out. As I go along on this journey with all of you, and write tips and tricks, as well as my real, raw and not always pretty journey of weight loss, I'll also be taking you on another journey. The path of mind and body balance. Sometimes it will mean focusing on personal growth for a while. Sometimes it will mean adding a new exercise to your day. Sometimes it will be diet tips, sometimes relaxation ideas, maybe even sometimes ideas on creating a healthy living environment. It's all a part of the big picture, that snapshot of a healthy mom that I know many of us would love to be. As I am on this journey myself, I'll share the ups and downs of learning how to be gentle to yourself and how to really be a fit & healthy mom. We moms are always taking care of everyone else, isn't it time we take care of ourselves too?
